Description
IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOST 1460-56 the following sizes (granulation) of pieces of carbide of calcium are established: 2x8; 8x15; 15x25; 25x80. Technical carbide of calcium contains up to 80% of chemically pure carbide of calcium, the rest is made by impurity — not extinguished lime, carbon, a kremnekislota, etc.
Carbide of calcium is used when carrying out autogenous works and lighting, and also in production of acetylene soot and products of organic synthesis. Pack calcium carbide into tight steelpans, weighing 120 kg.
