Hydroxylamine muriatic
The most important salt of hydroxylamine is muriatic NH2OH · HCl. It is applied as reducer in the inorganic analysis, to quantitative definition of formaldehyde, furfural, camphor, glucose; in the photo and medicine.
Appearance: Hydroxylamine muriatic colourless (to poorly yellow) colors hydroscopic crystals Storage conditions: Muriatic to store hydroxylamine in the dry aired room, far from sources of ignition and oxidation. The reactant is well soluble in water (45% - at 17 °C; 66% - at 100 °C), we will dissolve in absolute alcohol (4,4% - at 20 °C), it is insoluble in diethyl ether. The strong reducer, is oxidized to N2O. Hydroxylamine muriatic is poisonous. Let's well dissolve in water, ethanol and acetone, we will dissolve in alcohol, methanol, the glitserol, propylene glycol; hydroxylamine hydrochloride is insoluble in cold ether.
