Lighting kerosene

Lighting kerosene is applied generally in usual lighting and kalilny lamps and, besides, as fuel in devices to cutting of metals and in household heating appliances as solvent in productions of films and varnishes, at impregnation of skin and washing of details in electrorepair and mechanical shops. In case of use on the main appointment, quality of this kerosene is defined mainly by height of not smoking flame (GNP), and also temperatures of flash and turbidity (temperature of loss of crystals of solid hydrocarbons from kerosene; characterizes its working capacity at rather low temperature of air), the minimum maintenance of S (kerosene has to burn down without allocation of products, harmful to the person) and color.

GNP defines ability of kerosene to burn in a standard wick lamp (diameter of a match of 6 mm) with an equal white flame without deposit and a soot; numerical values of this indicator are included (into mm) in designations of brands of kerosene. Significant effect on GNP is had a fractional and chemical composition of kerosene. For prevention of a carbonization of a match and a contamination of its time the maximum number of easy fractions has to be pitches, naphthenic acids, etc. (owing to what decrease supply of kerosene on a match and luminous intensity) in high-quality kerosene.
