nbsp;The automatic switch is the contact switching device (the electrotechnical or electroadjusting device) capable to include, carry out and disconnect currents at a normal state of an electric chain, and also to include, carry out during a certain determined time and to disconnect currents in a certain abnormal condition of a chain of electric current. The automatic switch is intended for protection of cables, wires and end users against an overload and short circuit.
Automatic switches carry out at the same time functions of protection and management. Irrespective of carried out of function automatic switches are subdivided on own reaction time of tc, in (time from the moment of giving of team prior to disconnection of contacts) on:
normal tc, in =0,02-0,1 with,
selective (tc, in is regulated to 1s)
high-speed, having current-limiting effect (tc, in no more than 0,05 c).
