TARGET AUDIENCE

• The employees who recently became managers, and planning to pass to a senior position

• The managers who were not passing (or being trained long ago) on this subject.

ACTION PURPOSE

• To get acquainted with a classical "cycle of management of execution"
• To understand importance of communication for the manager and to get acquainted with the main methods of communication
• To allocate the main functions of the manager and to fulfill techniques of management of employees
• To fulfill the main instruments of management of execution in practice
• To fulfill skills of delegation and feedback
• To get acquainted with various approaches to motivation.

PROGRAM OF THE COURSE

1st day

Cycle of management and card of competences of the manager

Communication bases for the manager:

• Practical exercise: typical mistakes and importance of management of communication process

Techniques of an assessment and analysis of a situation:

• Chart of the analysis of the root reasons
• Practical exercise: application of the chart in the analysis of problem situations
• Pareto's rule and his practical value in assessment of the situation

Statement is more whole:

• Key rules of statement of the purpose and communication to her employees
• Criteria of the effective purpose of SMART
• Practical exercise: application of criteria of SMART at statement of the purposes

Methods of search and choice of alternatives:

• Brainstorming as method of search of the maximum quantity of alternatives and selection of the most relevant
• Practical exercise: working off of skill of use of technology of brainstorming
• Application of Mind-map for individual search of alternatives

Execution planning:

• Arrangement of priorities on Eisenhower's matrix
• Application of the chart of Gant as techniques of scheduling of all division
• Practical exercise: development of skill of scheduling of division in difficult conditions

2nd day

Organization of execution:

• The main behavioural styles and their application (Social Style) in management of division
• Practical exercise: strengths and zones of risk of each style
• Practical aspects of delegation
• Practical exercise: formation of skill of delegation

Control and feedback:

• Dependence of frequency of control and feedback on the employee's level
• Principles of qualitative feedback. SBI/BI model
• Structure of feedback and its practical application

Motivation:

• Basic theories of motivation and their application
• Main practical approaches to motivation of employees
• Practical exercise: application of theories of motivation in practice.
